In June of 2011 the Supreme Court took a stand on voting down Californias request to ban sales of all violent video games to minors. It was shot down 7-2. They turned it down because they said it violated the minors rights under the world-class and 14th amendments.In my opinion I think it would be very difficult for a state or even a federal government to control what is allowed to be seen and not seen especially when it comes to things like media and even more so in terms of video games. What I view as too violent isnt going to be the same as what someone in congress qualification view as violent. That being said it is the governments job to ensure domestic tranquility. I think the butt line is media is everywhere and if we censor things like video games and other sources of media to minors if they really want it they are going to get it be cause in this tech savvy world we live in if its illegal and u want it youre going to find it.
